Four stud pattern on Type R?

Hey guys i ran into this dude that was selling his Teg, he claimed it was a type R though i didn't really believe it coz when i looked at the car it had a 4 stud pattern that any usual sports car should have.. though I have heard some rumors of some DC2R's which have a five stud pattern which are under '96 models.. is it true that only '96 models up have a five stud pattern and what are some signs that the car is a geniune Type R and not a fake..

cheers guys thanks for the help and sorry for the Noob questions lol

    JDM 96 spec run 4x114.3

all other (JDM & AUDM) above 1998 (i think thats when the DC2r started running 5 stud) run 5x114.3

Should look under the bonnet and search for the VIN code.

    JDM 96 spec, = 4lug.
    JDM 98 spec/AUDM type-R (all 98+) = 5lug.

i been doing some research, not sure if im correct.. but here it goes...

JDM DC2R rear bumper has this beam going across it...

and this is a AUDM/USDM type R rear...

i need some to confirm this... as i am not an expert on these models...

seems to me it is possibly a vti-r with front conversion, etc...
unless '96 spec was released with a diference rear bumper then '98 spec...

    this is his rear bar...
Got an old Videogame console, handheld, games and accessories. PM me! I want them

    incorrect.

the first one is the 98+ integra rear bar (type r, gsi(98+), vtir(98+) all come with it)

the last one is the 94-97 integra rear bar (gsi, vtir)

jdm/usdm models are the same.. 98+ have the facelift rear bar, 94-97 have the prefacelift
