went and had a look on sat.......car looks good but nothing too wow about it. looked best in black but thats a personal thing.

interior wise there was a huge step up from the old model and even the current models so they did a good job there.

as previously stated it's a shame they couldn't keep the weight down a tad.

also test drove the civic typeR for fun and god dam that thing was slow.

*i'm sure i posted this on sat night but can't find my post hahhahahha.

High tensile steel requires more force to flex, which makes it poorer in absorbing damage. But what Honda has done is to use high tensile steel in places where it matters and also added more bracing (comes with a proper strut brace now).

The weight probably comes from the total weight of all the little improvements (interior, seats, bigger rims, wider tyres) and the larger dimensions.

Mate, there is stuff all between the base and lux.
I couldn't justify extra $7k+ for heated leather seats, HID's, fog lamps and sun roof.
The leather seemed cheaper to me than previous also.....

Well i prefer the Luxury sat nav to standard. You get a few other things like electric & memory seats, heated mirrors, parking sensors, reversing camera, sat nav, tilting mirror, auto dimming mirror, auto headlights and washers as well as the usual leather, heated seats, sunroof and HID (HIDs being a big one imo).

The only thing i don't like are the standard rims and styling!

Oh yeah, regarding acceleration times, what is this 0-100 and i can't, for the life of me, find the 0-100 time of the Accord V6!

Felt suprisingly good with the auto. May have something to do with the extra torque. The 18's look real heavy though, someone previously said 18kgs each corner.

Different. Those HIDs use H-type bulbs with the halogen projectors. Not as good as the ones on the Lux which use D-type bulbs with proper HID projectors.

For $120, you get a poor cutoff, substandard bulbs, ballast and wiring, plus you forgo HID levellers and washers, which risk a defect if you come across an anal cop.
