    That's still goodddd I guess compared to 10+ and 11+ L/100k's we're getting with the CU2s around here ...

I think after the fix and all that reprogramming the CU2 seems to be livelier - there seems to be no flat spots in the throttle or days where the car seems to be non responsive ...

Slight fuel consumption variations would be normal from 1 week to the next. 1 or 2 extra cold starts, a few more red lights, variations in traffic conditions all play a part. Has it been raining? driving on wet roads increases fuel consumption. Even filling at different bowser's where the car may be on a different angle will effect how much fuel it takes to fill it. I believe the only true way to gauge fuel consumption is to take an average over a minimum 5,000km, that way you have a true average.

Even having a different driver in the same car can make a big difference, for example I drive faster than my wife, but she averages a minimum 2L/100km more than I do driving on the same roads.

How many CU2 owners out there set trip B & run it until it automatically resets at 10,000km? If all CU2 trip computers read the same just add 0.3L/100km to the figure displayed to get a fairly accurate reading. Trip B on mine has just ticked over 9,100km & is reading 6.6, so 6.9 would be more like a true average.

My car just passed 1000km after the fix. Did hear pinging at 4500rpm just once, going uphill. Very very very minor sound is audible when accelerating at low rpm. Anyway, just an update, quite happy about it.

had mine done about 3 weeks ago. 1st few days all was fine, since then i can hear the noise occasionally, maybe once a trip. today while accelerating from the lights it was pretty loud in 2nd gear but then dissapeared on the rest of the trip.

overall i'd say much better than before, but not quite there yet.

is it just me? i never get under 10L/100km. i live in the suburbs and i never hammer the car

I would suggest averaging 10L/100 in the suburbs is a good effort, it's a lot different than country driving where speed is constant & very little stop/start driving.

For those who've got the fix but still pinging after 2-3 refueling, will/have any of u go back to the dealer to complain again?

same here only heard it once uphill.

but other than that it may be just me cause ive been at home all week and havent driven it much. But i noticed alot more responsiveness and better fuel consumption

Hi everyone, my wife and I are strongly considering buying an Euro but with this PING problem are not sure what to do.

Is the problem still there on newly released cars?

I would say every Euro no matter new or already fixed will have the PING problem, but thats my personal opinion. However, pinging or not, trust me.... you want this car !!!
