    Hey guys, I'm looking to purchase a set of slotted/drilled discs for our cars. Was wondering if anyone here is maybe interested in a group buy to save on postage? It will be similar to the RDA slotted discs but with drilled bits in between.

    PM me if interested

    is your car a FL or pre FL?

    FL has oem immobilisor so the key is more expensive and more costly to code.

    if your car is a FL then i'd be
    GD3 -> EP3 -> RB3

    225 refers the width of the tyre. it has increased by 10mm from 215. there are still plenty of room on stock wheel but the tyres will be ballooned slightly.

    also your friend is not correct regarding 225 would fit on 40 and not 45. 40 is the aspect ratio being the height of the side wall. 225/45 will have a taller side wall than a 225/40 which means the overall diameter will be bigger and your speedo will run slightly faster. obviously 225/45 will scrub slightly earlier than 225/40 but without trying both, it will hard to tell. however if 225/40 srubs then 225/45 will definitely scrub.

    i also assume u don't have any spacers.
    ok thanks phil. Yeah when I said, they said it wouldn't fit was that meaning it will scrub. I'm running 215/45/17 street tyres and I have has a few scrubbings on track. Also they claimed that the "45" in 215 and 225 is different, in the way which 225 sidewall is bigger.
    Also last time I went track day I ran 215/45/17, and the scrubbing was solvable by adjust more camber to the front, that time I had no camber.
    Sorry if I am confusing, because I'm quite confused my self.

    It would pretty much sit the same as your OEM wheels.

    If u scrub on 215/45/17 then u are not running stock wheel or have spacer.

    45 on a 225 has higher side wall than on 215. And if u scrub on 215 then u will scrub on 225 whether 45 or 40.

    More -ve camber will fix it up to an extend.
