I run a J's Racing intake box with J's Racing Power flow filter. Down low, the torque is really different. Definitely worth the money. But u will need the Mugen grille to complement it, since its sucking up air from the LH top of the grille.

personally i can't justified K&N.
i dunno how much it'll cost you but buying locally will be around $100. i would spend another $200 or so and import an Injen.
but it's your call.

I honestly wouldn't bother with a aftermarket filter for your stock air box. If you want a performance gain CAI would be the way too go.

Yeah I agree with that. I recently got a Fujita CAI from ebay for about $350 so that would be the way to go imo if you were thinking of modding the filter. Fujita is developed by the Injen people but the difference is Injen apparently give the most gains between the two. From my knowledge Injen = more performance, Fujita = stronger vtec changeover. personally i wouldn't bother with K&N filter knowing how much more enjoyment I have got with the Fujita installed from stock airbox. If your a baller you can go with the GruppeM CAI but just be wary that the fit isnt as good as the Injen or Fujita so expect some rattling

so i had a look under the car, found the tie rod doesnt look like the rubber bits have spilt, cv i think they look fine no grease well double check tmr, mounts are fine. should i just get a wheel allignment/balance? i shook the right wheel left and right and in and out doesnt budge cause a mate of mine told me to try it to narrow it down to tie or wheel bearings. i dont have tools to undo the cover to get a look at the sparkies but i dont think theyre worn out yet since they tend to last over 100k's?
SPAM|WERKS got you covered with a johnoroll

spark plug will last for 100,000kms. But better to change it before that, like 90,000kms or around there.

Yeah... ebay is ~70USD shipped. OEM is 63. I'm just asking because i think my air filter element is due anyway.
dont' really want an open pod, trying to keep a stop look

if the price is similar, i'd probably get the K & N. but with a CAI, the air filter is down under the passenger side headlight, so you can't really see it inside the engine bay. and you will only have empty space when you take out the stock airbox.
i have to say the car feels great with CAI and the vtec sound along is worth the cost. beware that u might lose a little low down torque with a CAI but with a cat back, there are definitely gain and no more lost torque.
