Showroom condition. It had $38990 on the windscreen which was designed to be "squeezed" to $37000. After another two hours of me not giving them a decision, they eventually gave me $4000 more for my trade than it was actually worth, in order to finally close the deal. I still have to pay $1100 in rego transfer, so I guess it cost me about 34K on the road, which I would class as excellent value, but maybe the 2nd-hand deals are there to be had at the moment. I pick up the car tomorrow.

Were tinted windows standard on the 2009 Euro Luxury or was that an extra that was added to mine?

I've now been driving my car for a day - it is wonderful! I will never know why the guy before me spent in the vicinity of $10K on accessories, but I'm certainly not complaining - it looks pretty amazing (I haven't seen one like it on the road in silver) and the sports steering wheel and sports pedals are great! (Even so, exchanging a leather steering wheel with another leather steering wheel seems ever so slightly loopy to me). The car drives like a dream (actually a lot better than a brand new one I test drove) and better than I remembered. Once I reset the hi-fi to flat, with just a touch of extra sub, the sound system is very nice, even against my fairly unreasonable standards (I have a home sound system with the replacement value of a small car). Inside, the car it is almost indistinguishable from new. Outside it is completely as new.

I was pretty sure I had scored a bargain. Now I'm sure of it.

By the way, looking at the new Accord styling on the Japanese website, I think my car looks sexier.
