Big question is now, do i try to attempt to fix it DIY an only pay for the small parts, replacing the input shaft beariing unit, meaning takin out the gb and tearing it down.... or do i just buy a whole new 2nd hand gb?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
cost is a major factor which is why im considering fixing it myself in an attempt to not use any money besides buying the replacement part

Dude you're prob not qualified, leave it to the techs.
If you're running b18 or b16 drop the 4.7fd itr box in.

You need time, you need a second car to get from A to B.
Nothing wrong with DIY, just 1st time always takes longer, and so it should. Wanna be as careful as possible.

what does qualified mean? a qualified mechanic would look at service manual, some might even dont.
as long as you got service manual, doesnt matter if youre qualified or not.
'qualified' is rather overrated and misleading sometimes.

qualified isn't over rated, it's the extra skills we learn day by day,,
so if you build a race motor, all you need is a service manual to build the race motor?
