If your looking at doing an engine swap into a Civic, the simple way would be to go a B or K series swap, but to be different, the H22 was swapped in. A lot of American drag cars previously, but not so much now run a H2B (H22A with B series gearbox).
H22A would probably be the most under rated engine Honda has released in my opinion (I know other people will differ). Very good starting point for modification, but never became as well known due to the more popular B & now K series aftermarket support.
A mildly tuned n/a H2B set up would be good for low 12's or even high 11's down the quarter. There have been examples that are running mid to low 10's in America (all motor class) and are even more of a blast once f/i comes into the equation.
