I'm also with NRMA. Don't know why its cheap. Think it's because there 4 cars under there names plus our house and everything. My name isn't under my parents names they said its cheaper that why rather than paying a whole lot every year.

NRMA knows what an EP3 is, straight up. I was surprised too haha! they just list it as a 'IMPORT 2.0L 3dr Honda Civic Hatch'

This may sound a bit n00b, but to fix this, is it possible to put motor mount inserts into a damaged engine mount to fix it? Mines is OEM. There are only inserts for the front and rear mounts. The most common mount to go is the drivers mount (which you cannot cheap fix). And if you drag or track the car, the side mounts will help with wheel hopping, especially if you do hard launches!

I had 75A (Too harsh), now have 60A (Still a little harsh) but its a good compromise.

With the brake stuff, need to finalise a deal on the pads, most probably today :)

It's more of a click noise. Can hear it, sounds like coming from engine area when I turn steering slightly to the left. But it sometimes happens when I turn on right. But doesn't happen when I turn at about 20km/h. Only happens when I'm not moving or moving slowly.

Mines clicking when i brake, when i go over a pothole, when the road is bumpy, when i steer abit and occasionally when im driving normal. Sounds like it's coming from the front left wheel area. Not sure what it is but gonna get it checked up at Hanny's sometime this week.

how long you had it for ?? Did the importer u purchase it from give warranty ?? Try taking it back to them and see if they can fix it under warranty. If that fails try taking it to a mechanic and get them to look at it :thumbsup:

I asked if it was a squeeking noise because i once had a squeeky steering rack which my mechanic fixed up for me :)

Pads - $210 (front)

Have a peek under there. You should see some sort of a switch (prolly a micro switch).

Yeah it's a laughable diff really but they did put it down to the lighter flywheel. What they didn't tell you was it also makes it easier to stall lol

Very easy to stall until I got motor mount inserts. Shifts are great now but the seat is really shaking now, more so than the steering wheel.

Finally got my intake on today after about 2 months of it sitting in the garage. I was suprised with the performance that it has given me and the sound is great. One thing I have to ask though. Has anyone had any probs with water as it does sit very low and I would think that water would get in there pretty easily.

Yeh it takes a bit of time and patience. The front bumper is a bit hard to get off. I damaged mine a bit. After the bumper was off it was pretty easy.

OEM mounts are weak, thats why ppl upgraded to inovative,spoon or mugen mounts etc.

You would be surprised at how many EP3s i have seen come up in the auctions with less than 30000kms.. Log books will be supplied.. Plus if there is more marks on the car than the auction sheet shows i dont have 2 take it.. And they have 2 get another 1. But they will only bid on cars i say too..

for those who have fitted engine mount inserts or poly mounts etc. do your car sounds louder inside after they are installed?

i had spoon street muffler + kakimoto mid pipe installed a week prior to the inserts and they were pretty quiet. after the inserts, it's very loud inside, particularly at around 5000rpm. then the sound soften slightly all the way to redline.

it's giving me headache now but the car is very sweet to drive tho.

dude i know how u feel brother ! I ended up getting stuck paying for my repairs. Dont let this sucker get away man. At least u have a witness which i didnt at the time of my problem. In my case the guy at the scene gave all the info and admitted to fault but because lack of evidence he denied everything and turned it around saying it was my fault. Was so frustrating ! ! Almost coming close to 1 year anniversary of the incident :) I hope that p plater got a nice shiny car i can have fun with 1 night im bored :cool::cool:

the bracket inside should have holes for you to screw the new unit in.

if you're going single din, you should be able to buy a universal pocket housing (such as JB-HiFi or even wreckers) to fill the left over space.

ohh got the injen cai in the ep3 finnaly took 2 hours or so was a bitch to put in had to cut stuff and drill stuff sigh... but end result totally worth it! you can hear the cross over so much now lols hopefully getting the headers in this weekend also thanks to my mate duy (g-stick) that helped heaps as usal! :thumbsup:

parcel shelf is std on c package while foggies, carbon trims etc are optional.

the easiest thing to spot for c package is the rear screen wipers. non c package doesn't have it.

i'd say 90&#37; of JDM EP3 sold were c package.

Good old dynapak dynos and hp readings :)

I wouldn't read too much in it. We're talking about 2-3 kw max here.....not gonna feel it on the street.

Wouldn't go selling your BC or Toda headers for it unless you're a dyno queen then you wouldn't have a Honda in the first place............

It came from japan with the FL headlights..
with HID... ill post some pics when i get time to take some nice ones.
Also with my headlights, the high-beams don't work. so i tried changing the bulb and still didn't work. took it to my mechanics and told them to have a look and they said its the wiring problem.. anyone know where/how can have this fixed? i asked my dealer to fix under warranty but he was dodging through it saying the headlights came like that from japan. So he won't be covering it.


Anyway when i get pic's ill be posting them!

sounds like they just change the headlights without changing the while wiring.

There wasent a thread it was some instructions just rip out the top plastic where the brake light is then come down from the sides left and right till you get to the middle part hope that helps mate
