got my O2 sensor installed today, worked fine (Denso #234-9004, about $170 AUD from ebay), no more crappy engine light :D

Personally I think that is a bad move. Honda's don't like non-genuine parts. I wouldn't be surprised if it came back.

wow and Twest that is rediculous. I still don't understand under any circumstance why he would reverse, what a lunatic. My heat goes out to the front of your EP3

Adrian, I was talking my experience with my car which is a facelift EP3 with factory flywheel.

In performance terms I absoluetly agree with you. But as a daily car (I dun track unfortunately) it is more of a hassles. I think up to a stage it maybe too light for road use. It is always a compromise between comfort and performance.

Denso is owned/owns sard.
Sard are a reputed brand.

I'd trust them fine.

I have always thought that Sard makes their own injectors cuz for Evos, Tomei injectors (made by Denso) requires a specific wiring plug but Sard bolts staight on. I am not 100% sure though,

Does the factory headunit play MP3 format CDs?

Does the factory headunit play MP3 format CDs?

EP3R (or any JDM Type Rs) never had standard factory headunit.

Sound systems are optional dealer fitted items so it depends on what the owner selected when he/she ordered the car.

Next time you see any morons on the road, simply pull your ep3's over to the side and let them pass to avoid heartbreak...

Hey guys, shopping around for some tyres as mine are about gone (so long RE01R's :()

I've got the tyres on my stock rims atm (205/45/17) and I'm looking to replace them with RE001's.

Apparently the 205/45/17 size is more expensive than 215/45/17's which are more widely available. Are there any disadvantages to this in terms of performance or will it only affect the looks? I do like the look of the low profile on the RE01R's. I am only looking to replace the two front tyres. Is there going to be an issue if one if the front is 215/45/17 and the backs are 205/45/17?

The Bridgestone select stores around my local area (Fairfield/Liverpool) are quoting me $290 for 205/45/17 and $260 for 215/45/17. Anyone know if you can source RE001's for cheaper than this price?

Cheers.

What parts are you after if your after second hand parts buy Option Magazine I think that's what's called from the local newsagency than search from there. If your after new parts there will be a few weeks wait depending on the shop. Try Mong Kok shops but most of them have moved.

When i tried mong kok shops they normally sell stuff like broadway mirrors, perfumes, stickers, leds, neons, sound systems, etc. was even looking for branded lug nuts and couldn't find any shops with them. i think there was one shop that had some suspension, wheels etc, that one had a veilside rx7 FD.

i heard most of the good car shops are quite far away, and need to drive to get there...
also option fans magazine - i cant read chinese =[

To me turbo awd is boring to drive on the street. No doubt they are quick but just not my cup of tea.

Also fuel and maintenance are the killers.

I have had a R32 GTR for 6 months and driven my fd's evo8 mr many times and Type R is just more exciting to drive.

I've owned and driven almost every turbo jap car that has come to Australia you can think of.

But after having the EP3, it felt like when I got my first turbo car all those years ago, a Toyota Soarer TT in 1995/6 when the import scene started to grow.

But everyone has different opinions due to their past experiences I suppose....

But just remember! A fast car does not mean good driver! As ask the fat guy in Initial D movie :p

That spec you mention is for an evo fitment. offset is way to low for an ep3 and also too wide.

i recommend 17x8 with offset between +35 and +40 for an ep3. that will fit nicely.

ROCKFORD FOSGATE P500-1BD

ROCKFORD FOSGATE P400-4
ROCKFORD FOSGATE T1652-S 6.5" COMPONENT

Now how did you guys connect your amps and what not to the ep3? Straight to the battery terminal or...? I have no knowledge of the power configurations of this car so some guidance would be good :) Also do you guys recommended using a farad capacitor to take the strain off the alternator a bit?

Left hand side of the boot should've been a bag with a jack and the spoke to turn it with.

Hey guys sorry I know this has been mentioned before, but I don't wana search again cause it's a bitch! But.. What engine mounts is good for our cars? Somtying that bangs for bucks!

Philip Lee

Do u want to keep factory level NVH? If so buy stock mounts.

Anything harder like inserts and solid mounts will increase NVH but give better performance.

I'm looking for more performance and the vibration is ok. How much performance difference do u get from solid mounts? Also how's the vibration for daily driving?

Forget solid mounts, don't want ur car to feel like a truck. I think you mean aftermarket mounts made with urethane?

Difference is not really there when driving on the street except for the vibrations. Will benefit if you do some form of racing in it....ie 400m or track.

For street, i would recommend that you just urethane them to keep some of its noise dampening properties.

Try and see if you can go for a ride with someone who has one cause the vibrations are 'noticeable', especially if you get set ie innovative/hasport.

Anyway, that's what I think ;)

I'm easy with meets.....I thought weekdays would be easier as it is a little quieter!

Just throw some up guys! Steve did say BBQ......which I'm always up for :)

Let get something sorted out :)

did your panel beater go thru honda aust. for these parts?

As far as I know he went through NRMA's International Suppliers, so I'm guessing there are parts avenues that are only available to the pro's.

I did mine but it was like 18mths ago so I'm not 100% sure without seeing the thing.

From memory u need to twist the black plastic to an angle so it will clear the bolt (left one I think) and once that's cleared u can turn the black thingy to clear the other bolt. I dun think u can take those bolt out from the outside.

hey guys, is it possible to adjust the front wiperblade arm so that it rotates more? My drivers side wiper arm seems to stop really far from the edge of the windscreen, so its kind of annoying.

I'd swap it around, but very stiff on the street.......you can put lighter springs in.
