I changed the oil at about 120km (only because I didn't get a chance to change it earlier). I used Mobil 1 5W-30 because it meets Honda specifications (even though all of the Mobil 1 full Synthetic oils exceed API SL): http://www.mobil1.com.au/products/product_5W30.aspx. I use 5w-50 in my Type R because I do track days.

I've used Mobil 1 for a long time now and I know it can handle constant high RPM when I'm on the race track. I'm sure there are other full synthetics out there that are comparable but I guess I stick with what I know until something better comes along. I remember the ad with Peter Brock stating that he had seen an engine stripped down after 1,000,000km running on Mobil 1 and there was no engine wear - that's good enough for me.
