No I'm pretty sure this sort of service is standard. My friend experienced it with his RX330 recall and he didn't even purchase the car from Lexus, he bought it used from a used car dealer.
Cool! Now I think Lexus service is a lot better than Merc, Merc service is no better than BMW's or Audi's or even Honda's.
