For those of you who want to use the 09 Acura TSX switchblade key for the CL9 Euro, it is unlikely that it will work because the frequency of the Acura key is different. I found the frequency of the Acura key by doing a web search of the FCC ID. The frequency is in the 3xx MHz range whereas the frequency of the CL9 key is in the 4xx MHz range. Sorry to break the bad news but i hope this will save you guys from wasting your money on something thats not going to work. It's a shame that it works for the CU2 but not CL9 :(

memory 1 is for driver key
memory 2 is for spare key
as you normally drive your vehicle, the seat will remember each memory key position

6. Within 5 seconds of entering programming mode and within 5 seconds of each other, press the lock button ON EACH remote you are programming, for a second or so and release. This step needs to be completed within 10 seconds. Each time a remote button is pushed, the locks should cycle. Up to 3 remotes can be programmed.
7. Turn ignition completely off and remove the key. Step out of car and close door.
8. Don’t overlook this step! On the new switchblade key, hold down the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for a few seconds. This removes the memory feature.
9. The remotes should be programmed and should work.
So there you have it!!! let us know if it works k!

It looks like these both operate in the 313.85Mhz range. I guess I should check the battery of the Acura remote next. The LED lights up, but it is possible the power is not strong enough to actually produce a strong enough or correct signal.

As per my earlier post, the CU2 switchblade key from US has a different frequency to the CL9 key. If you have a CL9 like me dont bother!

Hi! all, I bought 08 tsx key and TL key from ebay for my 07 Euro(CL9), Unfortunately, the remote function of both not working on my CL9, i did lot of research and found only way can make switchblade key work is replacing the master switch or the frequency receiver ( same thing) which is located at the driver side door. using US accord or TSX one, I have orded one ($80)and will get it next week, dont know will succsess or not, i will give my feedback after i try it!

I just got the CU2 TSX key off Printon (thanks heaps mate :thumbsup:) and can confirm that it works with the CU2 (at least so far). Got the Memory 2 seat one but it doesn't seem to move the seat to position 2 when i unlock it with this key.
I've just programmed the transmitted so far, still have to get it cut and find a place to program the immobiliser.
They key feels great though, solid (unlike the 3rd party eBay one i got for my CL9) and has a decent weight to it. Acura badging looks great too, only if its different, but i wouldn't mind changing the Honda badges to Acura :cool:.
Does anyone know of a good place in East or SE Melb that can cut and/or program an immobiliser for the CU2?

I thought the panic button feature didn't work but it turns out that you have to hold it on for a few seconds :cool:. Here's a comparison of the flip and stock key. Sorry about the heatshrink on the stock key, the other key is attached to a billion others at the moment.

Am i missing something out here?? wont this be a cheaper option? i am about to get this done.... its $80 all up for the conversion... but still considering as i had one of these keys and they tend to never flip back in after like a year or so...
its crappy quality. very crappy quality. the panels don't sit flush, and all the chrome fades.

Ahh, that's a bummer :(. Weird, if you're using the immobiliser from your current chip i don't see why that wouldn't be able to start the car. You wouldn't need to program anything apart from the unlocking/locking module, correct? If that is the same frequency it might work.Quote:

Wow, that's weird! I'm guessing they both use the same frequency as well, as their FCC ID and IC are the same. Then it would seem that there's no difference between the US Accord and our CL9, similar as to how the CU2 Euro is the same as the CU2 TSX.
When you inserted your current immobiliser chip into the US Accord key, what else did you have to program? Only the lock/unlock module, yeah?

Yes, i bought 07 TL Key form ebay, FCC: OUCG8D-439H-A IC: 850G-G8D439HA, I know the Fcc not match the the frequency receiver (FCC ID: OUCG8D-380H-B IC: 850G-G8D380HB), but i found some American guys they did a TL key conversion with their Honda accord (03-07)Key,
the Fcc of their original honda key is OUCG8D-380H-A, so that's why I am thinking if i replace our euro frequency receiver with US accord one which is the Fcc is OUCG8D-380H-B, after that, TL key should be working as well, May be i was wrony

you must have purchased the wrong receiver with feq 380
US acura keys are feq 439 - we need a feq 439 receiver that fits!!!
out curiosity...how many keys can you programme for the cu2?
had mine done today and it works for the acura tsx flip key.
however, noticed that the original key cannot be used to unlock / lock the car anymore.

For anyone interested I got the switchblade key working for a CL9, cost me $50 for the key, $65 for programming/coding from honda, and small fee to cut from key cutter. Very happy with it, if anyone is interested I can try dig up the ebay seller I got it from.

Just make sure that you tell him what letter you have on your original key so that he can give you the right immobiliser chip for australia (mine has a v on the key).
You can get the key cut for less than $50 and programmed from honda for $55 i think. Honda did it for me free of charge because they never seen a flip key work before so in exchange they wanted me to give the details of the seller I had bought it from haha. Hope this helps mate

Got the key yesterday, got it cut and programmed today for $35!
I called around different Honda dealerships, they wanted around $80 to program the key but I spoke to one dealerships service manager and he said that it takes like 10 seconds to program a key and he wasn't going to charge me for it as long as I found someone to cut the key! Score!
Different locksmiths offered to cut the key for free as well seeing as they had never cut a Honda key before but they did warn me there was a chance they'd stuff up so I declined there offer. I went over to a specialist locksmith and he practiced cutting the Honda key onto one of his blanks and made sure that the practice blank worked first before he cut my switchblade. He offered to sell me the spare blank he cut for $35 so I just accepted.
I am looking to get a flip key. can someone tell me the best place to get one from? I looked at my OEM key last night and it had the FCC ID: MLBHLIK-1T & IC # : 2500A-HLIK1T.
I see Acura key for around $80US but need the key blade replaced.

I bought my keys from the same seller and it was heaps easy to program the remote with the instructions provided. Just need to get the key milled and the immobiliser programmed by honda. Looks and feels like the real thing :D

It took about 10 business days to be delivered. It doesn't really matter which version you get because the red panic button doesn't work for our cars anyway and i got mine for $45...plus getting the key cut for $55 all up cost me $100. I got my key cut at a good locksmith so no risk of stuffing up. If your lucky Honda might program it for you for free!!
I just tested my genuine Acura TSX with my Euro and the red panic button works fine. The alarm went off, headlights and indicators flashed etc, wouldn't stop until I pressed unlock. Though, this may be different for the CL9 because it runs on a different frequency to the CU2.Quote:

He did not have the 3 button flip key on his Ebay store page, so I just sent him a message which he confirm that he had 3 button flip key in stock. Make sure you send him your FCC ID number, IC Number and the letter which is located on the blade of the key ( I had L on my key)
I got the key cut for $44 at Millennium locksmith in east Brisbane(beside the Gabba) They had abit of trouble getting the key to fit but after a bit of filling it work like a charm!!
As my Euro was getting its 10000K service the next day I called round to see the service manager of my dealership to if they would code the key for me. At first he said the key would not work in an Australian Euro as they use a different system. I explained to him that other Euro drivers had been able to get their key coded without issue. He finely agreed to try.
Making a long story short it worked just fine!!! best of all he did not charge me :D
All up the key cost $55 delivered and $44 to get it cut so $99 in total.

Yeah, I have a Genuine TSX switchblade. The blade is flat like our normal keys, all three button works (inc. alarm). I think it was 130ish landed.
