More dollars than cents LOL!
How much is that front bar worth again? $3k?
I remember when i got a quote early this year, the price was around $1500 landed at my door.
It looks awesome.

It was from a supplier in Hong Kong.
I've bought many items from them before so they gave me a bit of discount and it was unpainted.

Yes it is a genuine Mugen kit.
That front bumper bar looks awesome. I am so tempted to get one now. lol

Hey Youngster, which supplier do you speak of? I really keen on doing some stuff to my CU2 right now, just wanna see what they have! Do they have a website? :)
Oh also, has anyone changed their CU2's air intake/filter yet? If so has it changed your car's performance by much? I'm quite new to car modding so is anyone able to guide me here?? I'm looking at K&N ones at the moment. :D
Thanks!

My suggestion that you buy injen air intake or takeda. Believe me you get better sound and increase ur performance. Also you can get throttle controller which help you eliminate lagging problem. you can get Buddy club or Pivot. for Suspension, I recomand you to get tein SS. you can put 20 inch on ur car look great. make sure you get deep dish lolz :)

Thanks for those suggestions mugen! Has anyone else changed their cold air intake on their CU2 yet? Does it affect the fuel consumption?
For now I'll probably start with the real basics/cheaper things as I'm running low :P So coilovers and rims will probably be considered at the end of the year/early next year :D
Has anyone got an aftermarket kit on theirs yet??

from what i see, looks like the stock grille, except he sawwed off the middle bar which is also attached to the H badge in the centre, and painted the two left over silver bars black, and then it looks like he meshed the back.
VERY CLEAN. and gives me ideas
anyone manage to find this grille?? and how much ?? i'm tossing between the OEM mugen grille and this one

There's a few members here with work gs1's like nxn75u. Those are sweet!

very nice nester, doing pretty good so far.
the rims look funny without lowering though haha.
talking about lowering, i saw this:
http://www.jdmyard.com/2009/09/spring-into-action-this-spring-with-new-springs/
It was posted up on JDM Yard September last year though, but thought it could be handy to some now.
"Accord Euro CU2 $516
Front: 1.6″drop
Rear: 1.4″ drop"
Pretty Cheap for a 4CM Drop.
Still need to find some decent shocks to go with them.
If only coil overs were priced like these springs, life would be so much better...
Can't wait to see nester post up some pics with the H&R Springs and Type S Kit.
EDIT
by the way nester, did you buy your CU2 from a dealer? If so, installing your CAI would've affected your warranty right? Because my Honda Dealer offered me 6 years Warranty unless i do some modifications to the engine. some of my friends are telling me to ignore the warranty and go ahead with mods, but i'm still unsure.
for the guys who havent taken the trip to acurazine recently
some guy on cardomain in the states got the full mugen front bumper
DROOOOLSSS

That is the hottest CU2 ever, minus the red badges and stickers. I hate to think what that mugen bumper costs though.

yea i bought my cu2 from a dealer back in 2008. had my 40000k service with my injen cai and they didnt say anything, but i could hear them revving from inside the dealership! its thats beasty! hahaha
i asked them about the warrenty issues involved with it, and they basically said what alot of guys have said and thats if they find an engine fault or failure due to modification/installation of the cai then they will decline your warrenty.
i eventually just bit the bullet and installed it with a "see how it goes" mentality. At the end of the day its your car and your choice whether you want to risk it or not is entirely up to you.
i do agree with you the big A** gap between the fender and the top of the wheel is massive, will definately post pics when its dropped!
btw euroR i swear the that the eibach spring drop was more conservative than "front: 1.6" i swear it was only 1" front and rear... maybe its a newer version?!?
oh yea has anyone considered K&N typhoon for the cu2? ive never had a SRI before.

I am dissapointed with the K&N kit for the CU2. I had the K&N CAI for my CL9, it was awesome.
I will most likely go the Injen CAI or just K&N drop in filter.
But water ingress is the big issue for me up here in Darwin during the wet season.

hmmm water ingress is a fairly big issue in melbourne as well, was wondering if this is a big help to anyone for that issue..

maybe that is completely pointless to the water issue, but then again it could be very useful.
to nester, SRI's may look better when you pop the hood, but i'm pretty sure performance wise, CAI owns, not too sure though, i'm pretty noob with all the statistics.
but the risk you took with your CAI being installed whilst still being insured was freaken WORTH IT! I'm gonna most likely follow your footsteps and have the "see how it goes" attitude and mod my engine as well LOL!
nice work, thanks for the info, keep it up!

i've realised that ALOT of CU2 owners arn't a big fan of the TYPE S rear lip,
just wanna know what's so bad about it, i think it looks great, but hey, everyone has their own tastes.
i'm thinking of getting the entire kit as well, except the ducktail spoiler from their actual site, from what it says on their site, it is cheaper than their ebay item.
here's the link to their site if anyone else is interested:

note to everyone who isn't farmiliar with this kit yet, it is a TYPE S replica Lip Kit.

Yea apparently, the real type-S rear kit is not an add on: one rear bodykit. In another words, its just like the rear aero bumpers, but its type S style... Also the original add ons here in Australia doesnt have a rear kit. Thats why i chose not to have it. Like EuroRwannabe said, everyone has their own taste. I would love to see the kit in real life myself to see if it actually looks good.
Also the rear Type S kit, does it come with the red deflector too or it is sold seperately? coz in the pics there is no deflectors.
The diffuser shown above would be a great compliment to the rear but unfortunately i dont think it would look good on my grey euro:o... White would look fabulous!!

I'll be checking out the Type S Lip Kit from Bodykits Kingdom in about 1.5 weeks time. My mate's just waiting for the FD2 kit to come in, so we might as well go check it out together. I'm not a fan of the Type S rear lip coz it sorta looks out of place/rough...but then again I think it's slowly growing on me:
http://www.bodykitskingdom.com.au/euro-8th_r12_c14_f3.gif
when put into comparison to an actual rear bumper:
http://images.thecarconnection.com/lrg/2010-honda-accord-euro-type-s-002_100196608_l.jpg
as for the kit on the actual seller's website, it's just the lip kit (no ducktail) so if you do the maths its the same price as eBay. I've been quote $650 for just front lip, sideskirt and ducktail.
PERSONALLY I think it's a tad bit overpriced seeing the Civic FD2RR actual body kit is also $750! http://www.bodykitskingdom.com.au/civic-fd2-rr.htm
Who's with me? Haha
After seeing Luxury Models after Luxury Models I highly regret not putting the extra money into getting one!! =( Envy you all!! Haha

I can sooo associate with this. We've recently had some bouts of floods here in Singapore and I had to take my CU2 thru one. As luck would have had it, water was ingested and I'm now carless, waiting for a new engine to arrive. Gotta really plan for this especially for areas that are prone to floods!

i realise most guys are skeptical about the type S rear lip, but i think its one of those things you gotta see in person to really know if it will grow on you or not...
the kit on the bodykitskingdom website wasnt paint matched that great, but will definately post up pics when i get it fitted and painted...
was thinking of modifiying my oem grille, and get it painted while its at the paintshop, but i really need some new mesh to get behind it...

Are you gonna paint your grille black like denot's? that would look hawt man... Its an alternative of buying the sport grille, which i love but find it too expensive.

sigh i just got back from holidays in china
My mugen replica kit arrived with the type s rear lip
problem is it was taller than me when stood on its end and it was in 2 boxes. so i had no way of bringing it back on me on the plane (considering i had a 3 day stopover at japan on the way back)
and i cudnt check it in as ski gear cause its too big and weight around 20kgs
anyway, i checked out all the price quotes from couriers and stuff. DHL and all are quoting around $400aud to get it shipped here. I cud not find any cheaper and dunno any sea freighters (i dont care if it takes 3 months to get here)
I have no idea how the hell the supplier was able to quote me $200usd for shipping directly to australia from dhl as well. Maybe its just cheaper from shenzheng (near hk which is a shipping port). In retrospect i wish i didnt take the cheap route of $50 shipping and taking it back to Aus myself. wudve saved around $250
im kinda stuck with wat to do right now. My kit is is with my relos in china. For $400 shipping, i cud just buy a new kit from the supplier shipped to australia! no way am i paying that.

well after taking my car in for a service i decided while i had the bumper off to reinstall my CAI (removed it for the service and yes i put my resonator back on) i decided to do my clear my headlights. Now i took these pics with my iphone so the quality is shizzle but i used the a guide from a kowloon (i think) from acurazine who cleared his headlights with the oven bake method. So, with no experiance doing it, i decided to go DIY and give it a go. I will post up pics of it on the car tomorrow as I have little time on the comp tonight.

man you got yourself in quite a scenario! I feel for you! have you tried other international couriers like fedx or ipec? if theres no other way mate, best thing to do is bite the bullet and pay $400 to get it over, that way itll be in Australia and thats what you want. Sometimes theres no cheap way out.
Or as you said get it sent to shenzheng and get it sent from there. I know its hassle but if you want to save a buck itll be worth it! let us know how you go mate!

that's the link to his diy, he makes it sound so easssy! It was a learning curve for me as my oven was too small and I was hesistan having my $35000+ cars headlights in the oven! What it actually does is melt the sealnt around the headlight housing so you can seperatr the two parts. The tough par is seperating it without:
1. Messing the shape of the headlight casing
2. Getting hot melted sealant all over the kitchen, headlights, and yourself
3. Burning yourself
4. Snapping the glass on the headlight casing

haha, i owned a 06 CL9 before i bought the 2010 CU2, and in my opinion, IT IS SO MUCH MORE WORTH IT MODDING A CU2, only because it's so rare to see a modded CU2 in melbourne.
motivates you to mod the shit out of it before anyone else does LOL.

Looks pretty darn good! I would like to know how much to get it painted too (and where since you're in Bris :D)!! I was thinking of getting the kit too but not sure if I should ask the guy to paint it or find another person to. Hey guys thanx heaps!
I bought the kit on eBay from Bodykitskingdom for $500
and the 4 piece kit plus lip spoiler was $700 fitted
and the paintmatch is fantastic I gave then the paint code "NH731P" crystal black pearl and they took care of it. Took them a 2 days for it to paint and dry
fitment took just under an hour.

no sorry guys for not clarifying this ..
bodykitskingdom had the kit up for auction not "buy it now" and i bought it through auction for $500 for the 4 piece kit (side skirts, rear lip, front lip, PLUS lip spoiler)
paul at bodykitskingdom referred me to a friend of his where the deal was the whole kit painted for $700 ($600 for the 4 piece kit, PLUS $100 for the lip spoiler) which included fitment. so i was lucky to get it for that price. And it was paintmatched.
you can get the kit from paul direct for $900 on ebay; http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Honda-Accord-Euro-8th-GEN-09-Up-Full-Body-kit-PU-/130399783750?cmd=ViewItem&pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e5c6ecb46 with the
or from his website for $750 : http://www.bodykitskingdom.com.au/euro-8th.htm

its cheaper to source it from the manufacturer directly (pricing refer to my previous posts). i posted about this on the acurazine mugen replica thread. the shipping to australia is $450 via dhl. to USA its alot more cheaper. the kit is $300 US. cheaper if u buy 5 (thus i was trying to get a group buy happenning)
they also have the grill and duck spoiler if u want that. they also go mugen replica too.
all up since ur in the US. its probably gunna cost about $500 - $700 us. which is cheapper than $900 from paul + us shipping. money u save goes to paint ;)

you mentioned that we can get a Type S kit for $300 or so, but i think you need to have a business license or be recognized as a dealer to get those wholesale price. are you sure that the public or any individual can get it for those prices? i doubt that alibab will sell it to an individual like us. i just sent them an email.

next project is getting these rear reflectors to LEDS. i read somewhere on acurazine that its illegal not to have reflectors on your rear part of your car.. anyone care to elaborate?
FYI to most of the guys who are thinking about getting the type S kit... i pulled up at a shopping centre next to another CU2 and it had the aero/modulo side skirts and side by side skirts seemed at least 40mm bigger (taller). After sussing this out i checked out his/her front lip and my one seemed bigger as well. Which i prefer! dont know if it was just me but its just a small comparison. hahah just food for thought for anyone thinking about getting it!

quote from JC sportline in china.
$300USD for the full type S kit. $500 USD for DHL shipping. total $800
quote from paul at bodykitskingdom
$227USD for front type S lip
$227USD rear type S lip.
$350USD for DHL shipping if the lips are unfolded OR $150 shipping if the lips were folded. meaning they will bend the lips to make it fit in a smaller box.
i think a heat gun would have to be used to get rid of the sharp creases when installing the lip.

oh oops sorry for the late reply
i dont think they care if ur a business cause sales of the cu2 parts are really low particularly since its only popular here and in the US
as for pricing, i paid $350 for my mugen kit (type S was cheaper) and $450 shipping to AUSTRALIA. i dont noe what the shipping is to US
the $200 shipping is for http://jspec.com.sg/ (different to jc sportline, same product) they quoted me a bit more than $350 for the kit but the shipping to australia was considerably cheaper with singapore being closer to australia and all. like $200-250 depending on the method. since i was intending to get my dad to bring it back for me, i opted for the jc method with domestic shipping within china. but that didnt work out, so now i gotta cop the $450 shipping or just buy a new kit with that money.
as for paul, unless hes lowered his price, his full kit (front back and SIDES) cost around $990 + 50 shipping. just shoot each party an email and see which is cheaper.
all three kits are the same product. they all use the same photographs and email enquiries have suggested that JC is most likely the manufacturer (esp since they list on alibaba as wholesalers and are the cheapest i have found).
if u guys can get a group buy happening with JSpec ull save tons
it mite even end up cheaper than my shipping costs alone lol (they require min 5 for cheaper price and combine shipping if the same destination)
how do they fold the front lip!?!? :S is that even possible? wont it crack? the main reason why shipping is so expensive is cause these boxes are so freakin huge but only weigh 10kgs. but i didnt noe u cud fold them? wudnt that mess with the fitment....

wow!, ever since nester got the type S kit installed, it's been on EVERYONE's mind, but i must admit, it looks soo freaken good and to top it off, it's a reasonable price, unlike JDM Concept's Mugen and Modulo Kits costing over 1k...
well here's my opinion, it may sound a tad immature but yeah,
I'm just gonna buy it off Paul from bodykitskingdom only because his in Australia, and although his retail price costs more than jspec, the thought of it still being inside the nation leaves me no doubt.
See if i were to buy it from an overseas company such as JSPEC, i'll just have too much doubt running through my head whilst it's going through the shipping process.
in conclusion: my opinion is stay "nation based" may cost a little more, but doubt free is the way to go for me !

if i were in australia, id definitely pay the retail price and pick up from paul directly
since im in the US, im still debating on which vendor to go with. the $300 USD full type S kit from jc sportline is really an attractive price but sandy (sales manager) said that their best shipping method is DHL at $500 USD which makes it a huge turn off. they use paypal and DHL if you have any doubts. sometimes i think it really costs like $200-$250 USD to ship from china to US and they pocket the rest. because i got a $220 USD shipping quote from JSPEC (also in china). so there's a $280 difference in shipping based on these 2 chinese vendors. she also said that the front lip can be folded however the sides and rears cannot be folded. by the way, JSPEC is cheaper by $20 for a full type s kit. JSPEC's quote was $560 for the full kit plus $220 for shipping
i might go with paul at the end and get the type S front and rear. i dont really like the shape of the type S sideskirts. i still have to ask him how to get rid of the sharp creases

also one should compare apple with apple
if you compare real gucci handbag with fake gucci handbag, of course real gucci handbag price is unreasonable
if you buy fake stuff, compare it with another company that make fake stuff.

to make it clear, i am not against people buying fake stuff (its your money), but i think one should make fair comparison of the product you are going to buy.
all very true Leo (i think it's you).
apologies for the comparison of your company's stock and Paul's fake stock.
like you said, it is very similar to comparing real gucci to fake gucci.
you pay for what you get i guess, but then again,
can you really tell the difference between a real gucci and a fake gucci just by glancing at someone holding it?
like this replica type S kit, it may be fake, and cheap, but from glancing at it, people's first impression wouldn't be "that's fake" it would be more like "hey that looks nice!"
but again, apologies for comparing your stock with this fake stock and complaining about the prices.

btw via DHL for the whole bodykit for $500USD is cheappppppppp!
i cant even get that price just for the front bumper from japan. if it is really DHL then it is cheappp! but make sure it is DHL cos people in china people will say whatever people want to hear and once payment send. they just send via normal freight.

yeh it arrived at my aunt's place within 3 business days and via DHL (this is to within china tho), but they kept their word every step of the way.
i dun get why it costs more to ship to USA than to Aus. you would think theres more US shipping methods.
btw im still curious about this whole fold the front lip thing. how does it work. i know its flexible but not THAT flexible. but then again i got the mugen lip which is huge

its polyurethane so you can flex it and it wont break. it may create a sharp crease on where its bent but i believe a heat gun would slowly remove it.
were you able to track your shipment through DHL? also i assume its full insurance right?

I emailed Sandy from JCSportline and this is what I got:
"The bodykit of tsx and spoiler together is 300USD.
The shipping cost to Australia is 450USD.
So total is 750USD,we can accept paypal with 5% paypal cost."
That totals to about $860 AUD!....To be honest I'd rather stick with Paul for that price don't ya think :S

yep i got quoted $220 USD shipping to USA
however the full type s kit he quoted me was $560 USD
so its $50 cheaper to go with JSPEC.
whats weird is that JC sportline is charging $500 USD shipping while JSPEC is $220 USD shipping and they're both from China!

heeltoeauto.com has them for US$42.35, costs US$35.35 for USPS shipping. US$77.70 total.
They got the injen intake for $US291. $65.95 USPS shipping. US$356.95 total.
Injen intake expensive (I've seen them for US$240 on ebay), but when you consider that JDMyard sells them for $600, you'll save some serious coin!

Haha yeah Injen CAI is a slight expensive "investment" on the car, but apparently there is more of a power difference with the Injen in comparison with a K&N filter.
I probably won't be upgrading soon coz fuel is draining my account as it is these days, being an unemployed student and all haha :P

My experience with K&N filters have always been good. it's ideal if you want a slight improvement, and don't want to start customizing heavily.
I had a ford cougar and a Honda HRV and they both show slight improvement in power, fuel economy and noise.
Thanks for the heads up! By fuel economy do you mean it's more efficient with the filter? What do you mean by noise exactly?
Cheers
aussiebuddha
26-08-2010, 03:26 PM
My car's didn't have an accurate fuel gauge, like the euro, but my impression was the fuel economy was better.
By noise, when you rev up normally you get a high pitch sound, with the K&N it's a bit lower more gruntier, as if the engine doesn't struggle for breath.
difficult to write down, but they're all plus, no negatives whatsoever.

guys i got my knfilter from ebay, just search kn filters and look at who doesnt overcharge for shipping. I msged one of the sellers and said he cud order it in for me. then i combine postaged it for $5 extra with my mates civic's filter and we got it for like just under $60 each.
i agree with the comment about the sound. im not sure if its a placebo effect but i definitely noticed a better sound and slightly better throttle response with the filter. best buy ever.
however recently my fuel economy has gone from 10 to 11.5, cud be cuase im doing more city driving and havent gottent my 20k km service tho. (already on 25k!). I dont think its related to the filter, more like my driving style, makes u wanna rev harder cuase the engine doesnt sound "like its suffocating"
btw how do you clean these things? box came with no instructions, friend said you gotta use this special oil/liquid?!? i thought that cant be right
and how often are you meant to clean them?
btw nester, sexy ride mate. My kit could arrive any slower...currently on a boat somewhere in the ocean T.T gunna take a few weeks to get here
With the fogs, theyre still stock right? with the arctic blue overlays you added, do you still get a yellowy tinge? i wanted to chagne mine cause i dont like the yellow bulbs conflicting with my white headlights.
which is easier, adding overlays (do you need to bake it?) or changing to different bulbs?

guys i got my knfilter from ebay, just search kn filters and look at who doesnt overcharge for shipping.

Anyone else got an K&N filter installed?? I want to know more, especially about the fuel economy. :D Under $60 each...that's a really good price mate, where did you get it sent from?
How much did you get your kit for? Should've just ordered locally :P I don't think it's that much more expensive than if you ordered from one of those China stores.
With the fog lights, I'd suggest you buy a pair of white light/6000k H11 bulbs on ebay to replace your current stock ones. Or if you want to go all out, go for a HID kit and install that in place of your fogs :P That's what my mate did on his Jazz and it looks absolutely amazing...:P

thanks mate, my fogs are 8000K HID's, so the blue overlays make no difference whats so ever.
Changing the bulb will be the cheaper option and make a bigger difference. The overlays do not really change the color of the light because they are designed to let a certain percentage of light out.
I did not need to bake them they simply just apply to the top of the fog lens.

I'm assuming by "6000k globes" you meant HIDs. If so, the way I did it took a bit of effort. I took down the entire bumper just to hid the ballasts (in case coppers pulled me over saying it's illegal etc etc). I also drilled some a hole in each of the low beam housing (the black weatherproof cover) to feed the HID wiring through. I duct taped the hole down to prevent any thing going in. It was pretty straight forward to install the HIDs if you know what you're doing...it's pretty much "plug and play" :) Hope this helps.

Going off topic - Has anyone considered changing their high beam bulb to a white bulb (but blue housing) - something like http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2X-Xenon-White-HB3-9005-Car-Headlight-Light-Lamp-Bulbs-/170532450314?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories#ht_2964wt _1137. They're not really "white"...more greeny in the dark for some reason. They're also not that bright coz my HID kit pretty much eats it up :P. Anyways the reason I suggest this is coz it "LOOKS" pretty awesome imo, because of the blue tinge. I could post a pic up of it if you guys want :D

oh what I meant .. is that I already got factory HID low beam, but I think they must be in the standard range of 4300k. I am looking into changing it to the 6000k range, giving it more of blue tint, that may match my LED driving lights better too.. but not sure how to do it as I cannot see any ballasts lying around. So not sure if I can just change to a 6000k HID globe just by switching the globe itself..... has anyone else consider this switch? I'm not too sure, I've washed my mate's car at a "self wash place" called Freedom in Brissie and the foam brush they had there was pretty "car-friendly" from what I remember. But as for the scratches I'm not too sure, how bad are they? Have you tried waxing it etc? I know there is a product that fixes scratches (not 100% sure though, just heard of it). Personally, I use a chamois to wash my car and then micro fibre cloths to dry the car body.

Just to confirm what you meant by stock HID?
If you already have the after-market HID kit( Ballast, wirings, bulbs), then you just have to replace the bulbs with 6000K H1 bulbs.
If your car is is still using the standard bulb, the options available are:
1) You can get an after-market HID set kit which comes with the bulbs of desired temperature/color, wirings, and ballast. this will give you maximum brightness, but note that if you leveled you headlight wrongly, you might blind the oncoming traffics. Also if you are looking at quality HIDs, the prices might set us back.
2) You can also just replace the stock halogen bulbs with higher temperature/kelvin halogen bulb. From previous experience, this options does not give you much visibility, especially in the rain. I used to have 4300k halogen bulbs running on my FD, and visibility was minimum in rainy days.
The standard euros are using H1 and lux ones are D2S for low beams. Please confirm if this is the case. Netjester has done it in the previous thread where he replaced his car with 6000k.

Ah that's too bad then. I just use the chamois to wash the car and wipe away "excess" water and completely dry the car with micro-fibre cloths. Worked like a charm so far.
As for those scratches try going to this thread: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?96168-Car-Detailing-Tips. And see if any of that helps :D

i concur with Mr.Nxn75u here,
I have tried to use those higher temp/kelvin halogen globes before as replacement for the standard halogen head lights (for another car, not my CU2), but they were nowhere as good in terms of driving needs, they may look good with a touch more ' blue' for appearacne. They are also usually quite expansive too, don;t waste the money there, go for a proper HID coversion if that's your desire!
.. and thanks for your advice before, i just ordered a set of 6000k D2s bulbs from oversea (to replace my exisitng HID bulbs).

Yep the higher the temperature the less bright it is. 6000k - aka Diamond White (possibly 8000k but I doubt it) is a good temperature and brightness. Anything over that and you'll be expecting poorer vision, especially in the rain.

Anyways I've heard many different stories about Philips Diamond Vision 5000K vs Crystal Vision 4300K, which include the longevity of the bulbs. Diamond Vision is definitely whiter than Crystal Vision, but have the tendency to die in about a year? Not too sure. Diamond Vision also doesn't project light as far as Crystal Vision, as seen here:

Anyways personal preference I guess :P

Cheaper from this eBayer (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Philips-Crystal-Vision-4300k-Headlight-H1-H4-HB4-/330467100971?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4cf15fc92b#ht_1021wt_1137)
I just checked at Autobahn, they charge a whopping $79.99 for the philips blue/diamond vision. Kwangs' ebay link looks decent. Also, they charge $230 for a set of Philips HID 6000k globes, that's just for the globes. I know other 'cheaper' brands on ebay may only costs ~$40 for a set. yes, quality may vary but that's a nearly 1:6 ratio.......

Hehe see $21 saving right there :P. I mean you can't really go wrong with a local seller (AUS). 100% feedback so far. Looks good to me! :) There are other brands like Osram/Narva which I heard are decent. Probably cheaper to, but knowing myself I'd probably go with Philips ones anyway haha. With Philips HIDs they are very very dear, compared to the ones you can get for under $100 on eBay. I've heard Philips are the best in the HID kit/bulbs department. Not sure why they're so exxy though =\. Most HIDs are made in China these days anyways, even those "Japanese" branded ones haha

hey guys any one no if a after market body kit will effect my warranty on my cu2 i have rang honda about exhaust and speaker changes and they keep telling me the same thing that if it creates a problem to the car it will void your warranty so pretty much they will blame it on me, had a issue with my set belt buckle and they blamed it on me saying i dropped a liquid in there which i haven't after a big load of B.S they ended up repairing it on warranty... SO Was wondering if they would make some reason that the body kit will effect the warranty

Personally I wouldn't think so? It doesn't affect the performance or any electronics of the car. Hehe did you buy an after market body kit??

after market body kit is only a cosmetic modification so i doubt it will affect your warranty, they are only harsh on engine modifications etc.

that kit has been spoken of throughout this thread for about 20+ pages,
here's the direct link to bodykitskingdom website, with the page of the 'TYPE S Kit':

Andrew (nesterjester) is probably the first one on this thread to have bought one from bodykitskingdom owner Paul.
pictures of it will be in previous pages, and it's so sexy, still not over it yet Andrew!!

Feel free to let me know if you're interested! I can probably get you the kit for $800 including the ducktail/boot lip spoiler he's selling for $150 itself.

Hehe sexy indeed. Here are some *very poor* pics taken with the kit tested on my own CU2 :) As you can see it's a pretty good fit as it is (without glue + bolted down) & it's already been coated with primer so you already save a bit of money there :P

thanks mate, my fogs are 8000K HID's, so the blue overlays make no difference whats so ever.
Changing the bulb will be the cheaper option and make a bigger difference. The overlays do not really change the color of the light because they are designed to let a certain percentage of light out.
I did not need to bake them they simply just apply to the top of the fog lens.
are the connection types the same for all h11 bulbs? and is it easy to install? i dont need to take off the bumper to replace fog bulbs do i?

As far as I know the Genuine Honda Fog Lights for the Accord Euro use H11 bulbs. I'm not sure if you have to take the bumper off replace the fog bulbs, but I'm guessing you have to, coz nesterjester recommended me to replace the bulbs and install my fog lights at the same time.

hey mate they are relatively easy to install, just simply plug out plug in. You will need to remove your bumper to do it easily. It is possible to do it with the bumper on but the rooting around squeezing and twisting your arm wouldnt be worth it. Got to make life easier for you!

i got my HID's installed today guys!
photos will be up soon,
the person that installed it for me said that the lights would be a tad un-even of brightness for each side,
i was cruising around just before in dusk and realised what he meant, but he did not tell me how long this "un-evenness" lasts.
did anyone else encounter this?

Congrats man!!
Just recently I noticed there's like a "V" of darkness with my HIDS, might need to adjust it or something. Not really a big issue, not sure why there's that "V" though lol. Not even sure if it's always been there :P Other than that I'm not too sure what this "un-evenness" is that you're talking about, maybe photos can explain? haha
Hehe thanks mate, I still need to buy the kit...running a tad bit short on cash coz I just bought a Flash gun for my DSLR and the HIDs for my fog lights (to come :P).

Hehe sure is and the PP (Polypropylene) material fits so well too! Definitely worth the buy when the Genuine Mugen kit is over $3000 for just the 3 parts (Front lip, side skirt and rear lip). So this is pretty much half price (if painting was included) for pretty much exactly the same kit :P.
You're lucky your car isn't white, because it costs a bit more to paint it white :P If you're interested I can probably get you a cheaper price for any of the kits just send me a PM :)
On a side note guys, I've decided to go take my car to get fixed (rear bumper damages) as I got hit for the 3rd time (most serious) 2 nights ago :(. Didn't see who did it coz it was at the car park again but lucky they didn't dent my bumper, just loss of paint. Going to a touch up/buffing specialist tomorrow, from the pictures the guy said it'll cost me about $60-80 :D...pretty reasonable if you ask me hehe

Unpainted, I might be able to get you an exact price if you wanted mate. Possibly $100, I'd have to have a double check. I think nesterjester got his ducktail spoiler painted for $100. So $200 all up (still way cheaper than the Genuine's RRP - about $360 unfitted/$510 Fitted). And it's it's pretty much an exact replica of the Genuine one from what I saw :P
