It comes from factory a certain way for a reason.

Dyln.bxtr
19-07-2014, 11:33 PM
That certain way is due to their studies finding that it allows the control arm to be stronger if in a side impact. Much like an egg, top to bottom you can't crack it. It also allows the camber to act in a certain manner when the car is lowered, without removing the structural and strength integrity within the LCA.
However, as I had stated in my actual thread, with +/- 0 offset and rush for work/uni I had very little time to do things in any other way (study full time, work as a contractor mon- fir and retail on weekends). I required an inch of height, and due to the design, turning them over allowed the extra inch, with the downside of shifting that camber and running the risk of damaging the LCA. I plan to replace LCA with camber, therefore, the tyres and scrub outweighed any possible strength lost from the LCA. It also allowed the tyre and wheel to square up and sit flat, rather than camber in.

if you require an extra inch, why not just do it the normal way?

What makes it dodgy? What are the factors behind that reduces any strength or stability??

I have been hearing plenty if you guys being "trolls" yet it's just the same blank answers over and over.
Do you guys actually know what you're talking about? Or just a group of trolls who are on a bandwagon together??

The results according to my light meter...

Loom upgrade vs oem loom, standard Phillips 55/60W
Hi: 18% brighter
Lo: 16% brighter

Loom upgrade with 55/100W vs oem loom, 55/60W bulbs
Hi: 50% brighter

Upgraded loom consisted of chunky OFC speaker wire i found on a verge side collection, high and low beam relays, and ceramic H4 plugs (ebay, $1ea).

Good work tangk.

I've got a mad jdm black hood (will be resprayed in time), I bought ku31's for $82.50 a piece and put them on on a few weeks back. I've gotta say, they feel better then what I had on before (re002/ecopia)

I more recently replaced my thermostat and put a new sticker on the car (even gained a gear and a few kw on the butt dyno)

after 2 days of working on this and 2 weeks on waiting for parts, finally got s2k cluster up and running! Everything works thanks to the Ktuned AIO Converter box!
With the small gap issue on the side, instead of doing a custom bezel for it like everybody has, i decided to do a custom surround that would suit the EK at front and S2k at back, but will start on it next week. In the meantime enjoy! Sorry for large pics

Thanks! Everything set me back about $600 because i didn't buy a straight up plug and play harness. I rather spend 2 days wiring everything up than spend $250USD on something pre-done.

And yeah i considered that conversion by Qube Engineering but i don't know how to unplug the computer circuit board at the back of the cluster. Don't want to yank the 3 plugs out they seem really fragile.

Was a little nervous doing these (thinking it might turn into a long pain in the a** job), but can highly recommend the Schley 65100 bushing extractor. Got it off ebay, a little pricey getting it from the U.S, but made for a very fast and painless swap, surprisingly zero issues :)

It's pretty soft and bouncy.. 8kg fronts and 6kg rears. Had 10kg springs on the front before, which I probably should've kept in.

Oh and thanks! It's far from mint though haha

How does the wheel feel?

iwearmoccos
26-01-2015, 07:07 PM
I'm quite tall with big hands, indicating isn't as hard you you expect. Not daily driving it probably helps the situation also.
Wheel and seat setup feels really good, I needed to get the seat lower to be able to heal toe and fit in the car without head butting the roof while wearing a helmet. This alleviates all those issues.
Suede on the wheel is really nice, I'm impressed with the purchase. Half the price of Nardi etc etc as well

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, really appreciate it
Color is Sepang bronze, body work was done over a weeks period, getting every single ripple, dents and imperfections out
Wheels are ssr sp1's, 16x8 +32 which are very rare and hard to come by

You'll be able to use it just like normal bog.

I used metal filler aswell on my valve cover, after I shaved it, it had holes where the lettering was, I applied the metal filler layer after layer, sanded it down and then added normal body filler on top to cover all the little pin holes

Came up awesome!
