Nice mate, quality springs right there!!

Today I took off the backing plate from my ITB's. The backing plate that is part of the ITB cover that I used to run. so now my ITB's look a bit better, bit more exposed :) haha also cleaned the gunk from the throttles.

Also my tire bag things arrived so I wrapped up my Hoosiers for some safe storage :)

basically got a hold of all of the hard race bushings to replace the old items with now :) Im soo glad they make front lca as Honda only sells them as a set of the two pieces at $3xx a piece...

and beat the crap out of the front brake stone guard to reshape it, might add two of them to the shopping list

Got my JDM stickers from eBay on Tuesday. Sticker wrapping the roof and putting the odd one here and there on the panels to hide the hail damage from 2 months ago. The egg is gonna look hell sexy again. Saving up for a new bonnet painted matte black and low king springs. I've painted the steelies matte black so gonna be Rollin ghetto style from now on. Tis cheaper.

yeah, there's no EG thread... and unfortunately the car isn't worth fixing so hiding the hail is the only option... its turned out alright... the sun today has heated up the metal and popped most of them out... they'll be gone in no time... bonnet not so lucky...

Cheers. Yeah, with this car it has pretty much been. Save up money, research and then wait a bit. So far I am pretty happy with the result.
I would make a build thread, but I am not sure how interested people would be. Progress is pretty slow on this car, and all the mods are just subtle. Haha.

I've been thinking of doing an EK9 rear lip in the same ABS plastic as the rest of the lips around the car. But I am not sure as to how it would look. At the moment it is all finished by the mud flaps.

Don't worry man, my build has been going for more than 2 years! I'm so frickin' slow in my old age lol - but i don't like doing all mods in one or two months, no fun to me, would just feel like a rush job.

But I think the guys on the forum would like to see another clean EK hatch build thread! And get some advice from them as well - they've always helped me out :)

As everyone knows, my suggestion is OEM all the way or quality Japanese parts> Yes, it costs a bit more, but lasts longer, looks better, looks cleaner and you can always part the car out one day and make most of your money back - so in the long run it's really much the muchness... you just pay more to start with.

Yeah, Doing it slowly has served me pretty well so far. I might have to get a thread together, I'll have to check out what photos I have lying around from the process of building everything up. It would be good to log some of the maintainance and stuff I do to the car. As far as the rear lip goes, there is no question about the fact that I will be going OEM, I am just wondering how it would look if i continue the lip in black around the back. At the moment, the side skirts are finished pretty well by the mud flaps, so I am not sure. I am all for OEM.

EDIT: Put together a small thread on the stuff I have done to the car, it is Here (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?145520-My-EK-Cxi&p=2946458#post2946458)

those chopsticks are cool!

anyway i did some more things to my EK today! - pretty much worked on the rear of the car and abit of the front.

1. Rear wiper delete and replaced with OEM Rubber Grommet
2. Removed rear wing brake lights and replaced with all new lights - because 1 burnt out so i decided to replace all of them and never do it again. btw they were so cheap 50c each!
3. Removed facelifted tail lights and replaced with OEM EK9 tail lights - also replaced all the globes/reverse lights.
4. Cleaned up corrosion of battery terminals
5. New Supercharge Gold battery!
6. Flushed radiator coolant and refilled
7. Installed new OEM ignition coil - car runs smoother now!
8. Replaced wiper blades with OEM - best thing ever!

did heaps today!

So I took my misses civic gli to a job. This [deleted] guy calls me and asks to see the car. Full knowing the price im after. I have it advertised for 7 grand. Luckily we were in the same area so I decided to meet with him. He looks over the car, starts to point out things wrong with it. Telling me that his brother just bought another civic with same kms and "prelude" rims... That the fujita intake i have is a defect and that he will get done for it... He then offers me 5 grand! 2 grand under what im asking for... What an insult! I swear some people dont have any manners! So un-australian!

On a good note, i got Hi/Low Beam HID's installed! YAY! :D lol

satisfied a little bit, more so agro in the fact it took so long lol

theres a diy on d-series on the rear disc conversion, but they missed out on few of steps, like having to take off the heat shield, how to remove master cylinder an all...but more so the great struggles in getting the stuff back on.... an the amount of dirt getting in to ur eyes while under the car! i never wanna go through this ordeal ever again, once in a lift time is good enough lol

i think the right tire has too much positive camber now, :S time for wheel alignment next week

What's the advantage of having ek9 lights over painted stock ones?

"An aggressive looking smoked chrome or black chrome inner housing distinguishes the Civic Type-R over the standard Civics' chrome units. The orange, light refractor strip is also a thing of the past for a hassle free 'clear corner' ! Also added on these Japanese headlights, are a provision for a city light bulb for headlight illumination without having the actual headlights on."

isnt it around 900 from JDM yard? yeah i guess it is a waste of money i mean i wouldnt pay 900 for a set of headlights just because they have a little black/chrome in them.

true that, i guess u just gotta weigh up whats more important, giving the amount of cash u got to play around with, but 900!!!! Fuk that LOL, as if anyone would pay that much for some head lights! With that, id just blow it on some coilovers or so... DIY Ek9 head lights FTW

EK9 headlights look 900 times better than OEM chrome headlights imho. But yeah, $900 is def a bit steep. DIY black housing headlights can look good if done right but will never look the same as the real deal.

Loving that exhaust - finally another civic without a canon. Looks really nice with the angle tip too + sits 'just right' outside rear lip :)

Where did you get it from/fitted? 2" cat back?

Rather than making a thread you guys see that engine bay up there? Is there a way i can buy that little thing that attaches from the whale penis onto that white part to make the piping more stable?
Mine was just held on with a piece of cloth lol.

Not sure if this is Off-Topic, picked up my Green Em1 Yesterday. Needs a full respray IMO as paint on roof and boot has faded, but i bought it mainly cause the Engine has done 88000 genuine Kilometres and serviced every 5k at Honda. Will be making a Em1 Thread when i clean it up and get some pictures
