What it needs it wetsanding then a cut and polish :)
Yeah, my process was primer, wetsand(1000), tack coat, colour coat, wetsand(2000), clear coat, polish. Still not that glossy :(

After clear coat wet sand (1500 then 2000) then cut and polish. Thats the step your missing.

Yo matt, same price it cost for your wheels :) got hooker up for such a nice clean set of super rare wheels,
I look at it this way, it cost more then an average wheel, but with money at hand I couldn't get hold of any other set that was available,
Great investment, will be a worthwhile catch

did you use paint stripper on plastic
I used some bumper stripper so i assume it was okay? Only applied one light coat using a small brush so it'll peel of the primer and the original paint. Was careful not to put on alot though because it was a china brand one my dad bought a while ago lol. Spent the other 1-2 hours sanding it with 80gritt sandpaper

Ohhh sheit son thats a good height for 12-16cm off the ground, are you sitting on the rears or is that just not on level ground? Looks good as though! Keep up the good work

Mount the lip on from the 2 sides then use self tapered bolts and drill holes randomly and screw it in everywhere. ThTs how I did it on my ek. Hold heaps strong and harder to steal as I used 8mm 10mm 12mm hex self tappeeed. Some Philips head and flat has. Some Allen keys lol

I was thinking of that because i have mixed screws (hex type, T10,T5 etc.) but i dunno about making the holes, should see my rear bar when trying to fix up my rear lip LOL, holes everywhere if i take off the lip :(

The clips are what the bolts are screwing into.
The clips are a u shaped silver metal peice, that clips on the bumper. Then you have the bolt that goes through the lip, and threads into the clip.
Undo one and you'll see what i'm talking about. You can always ask for 2/3 clips/bolts from him for you to use.

Thanks mate,
didn't buy the steelies off the shelf, don't think you can buy tho ? lots of time consuming involved, bought 15in stockies, bought 15x8 outer rims from another place, went to custom wheel repair/shop, got the center of the stockeis machined off, put it in the new outer rims and picked the offset. then, took it to spray painter and got it done in satin black.. wheel's spec = 15x8 +20, tyre's spec = 195/50
only drove back from JDM Yard yesterday, felt pretty good, nice and comfy for daily but the handling heaps better. should get bit better as the wheel alignment done tho
cheers

You have to ask,
sometimes if theyre in nice mood youre allowed to browse around and check stuff but not often
the experience and prices with that place is very dependent on the owners daily mood ;)

Nah I'm not depending on anything, it's just great cause they're all roadworthy. When I have enough $$ for some decent 15x8's I'll get some good sticky tyres to go with. And I'm always careful in the rain :)

it sounds alright for a cheap muffler, is that the 3" inlet? would there be any sound difference if you get the 2.5" ? Because they'd still have to mod it abit.

It's a 2.5" tip. It has a 3" inlet on the rear
Of the muffler. The shop basically welds on an adaptor that steps down to 2" with a flange to bolt into the stock exhaust.
I quite like the sound. It's quieter than stock at idle, sounds great in the low end too.

Because ppl would rather buy new parts than re-use old parts, think of why ppl buy rota's or seats for examples...
Anyways, forget twin loop, get a good JDM cat back, like Fujitsubo, kakimoto or Vision N1, they are just as quite if not slightly louder, all comes down to the muffler canister design, the center muffler an resonators, just cause its a cannon design doesnt mean it would b loud, food for thought!

fuuknnn LOLOLOL......for the money of twin loop, U can buy a new cat back from the US LOL, and anyways, if ya do ur research u would know mugens twin loop are restrictive Hence why none of the Ek9 boys in europe use em and also in the USA none of the ek/dc guys use em, an waste of money on a performance pov.... IF i remember awhile ago in a Honda magzine, the power gain was pretty much similar to oem vs say a straight flow cat back with a good oval muffler which had a power gain of 5 - 10 hp back to back on a hub dyno
Heres a few names for around $1000 - $800, Apexi WS2, DC Sports, and Magna flow just to name a few.... and forget mugen, just cause its from japan doesnt mean squat nowadays, better off getting a new cat back, would u rather a 5 - 10 year 2nd hand cat back or new cat back for same money?
