i stuck with this exhaust because i got defected for my previous cannon muffler (Vision N1)

this muffler whilst driving its really un-noticable, only time it really becomes alive is when i'm coasting in a high gear or rev towards rev limit.

PHO might have a few opinions on it, he took my car for a drive a few times and no ones ever complained LOL

i love how people quote things from what they have read and then try to make out they know 1st hand about it
have you ever owned a 5-10 yr old quality exhaust at all

no point arguing if you dont have any experience

Dont just assume non of us have ever owned a jap spec cat back ;)... Ive already gone through 2 setups, 5zigen cat back and Vision N1 cat back which i have atm... Quality is top notch, welds are exceptional! BUT those were built only 10 - 5 yrs ago, fastward now, u can pickup a new cat back for lesser price $500 - $800 vs $1500 for a jdm cat back minus the shipping an taxes

my 15 yr old mugen twin loop is still working how it should be too
it only made 1-2kws on my butt dyno but
so it makes it inferior to the examples you mentioned

Inferior from a performance POV, build quality is top notch, theres no deny it, but how can anyone spend and justify say 1500 - 800 and only expect a gain of 1-2kw Lmaooooooo....

Sorry man but just goes to show that mugen made a shit performance product an slapped a massive price tag much like ARC which went bankrupt! All eye candy an no performance gains at all

90LAN
09-03-2013, 04:29 PM
so who would pay 1500-1800 for a 2nd hand exhaust ?
so have you owned a mugen twin loop is the question not owning a jdm exhaust ?
so why have you got a jdm exhaust when you reackon jdm is shit as mentioned earlier
what do you think the vision exhaust would of cost if you had to buy it new from japan .........
the original topic of discussion was between a $800 x force twin loop and a used twin loop for about the same amount the money

90LAN

you must have a massive price tag exhaust too, because vision went bust too if you didnt know

MYEK9
09-03-2013, 04:43 PM
wtf, how do you justify buying fake exhausts, look at the replica N1 compared to the real N1 , the difference of noise is unbelieveable.. If your going to go an exhuast for a jap car, source it directly from japan.. Like everyone always goes on about X-FORCE, next minute 10,000 complaints upon the forum regarding their headers cracking and problems with their e systems,

Work up the money and spend the bit extra and get something that will make the difference. Everyone's opinion to their own i guess.

I have custom exhaust that should fit your car matt if your looking at changing the system.

MYEK9
09-03-2013, 04:46 PM
After going with a jasma approved spoon b-pipe and spoon n1 axle back, There is not a chance that i would go anything else , not even mugen.. next thing is toda headers which are on hold for me!

Depends on what exhaust ur talking about... there are always ppl willing to fork out money for anything, so in relation to ur question champ yes ppl will pay for em ;)

LOL u jus asked me about owning a qulity jdm exhaust now this???? twin loop.... i dont own one, nor did i ever have the intentions to buy one, ive seen them in the flesh, have been in the car with one, as ive said quality is top, performance valve is shit...

Where did i ever mention JDM is shit? i must be blind cause All i said was Mugen twin loop is a crap house design thats over priced that wont net u any real world performance gains!! hahaha

I can tell u right now Given the rough estimate, $1500 easy! for most jap spec cat backs new so vision much like any in-house Japanese company

And for argument sake the X-force would be the better one to buy

a) its new!
b) IT flows better an will perform better as its a true 60mm exhaust all the way from cat to muffler canister and the piping that snakes into the canister
c) Its local and will fit on our ADM vehicles with no mods
d) If any problems will arise xforce has warranty

Lol 1-3kw difference per part when you add it up in I/H/E does make a difference in example when adding up a power gain.. Instead of 1kw gain per part compared to 2-3kw is the difference of 103kw atw to 108kw D:

makes it soooo easy to adjust aswell. just one and one only spanner

garanteed no slippage (unlike other branded coilovers with pair of spanners) actually split both knuckles on both hands

they come with detachable damper adjusters (when i got them, they werent installed, choose to have them on or off)
every coilover comes with their own set of nuts and spare pair
pretty descent packaging too, and equipped with all little bits and pieces :)

Ful respray cause got quoted only a couple of hundred $$$ difference between painting bars and wing to painting the whole car. Got mates rates too. Undecided on the colour.
Either keeping it white or something different.. Battleship grey??? Still undecided.

Why change colour man? So many people these days (incl myself) would love a white civic, sadly white ej8s were hard to come by back in my days ><" So yeah stick with white :) And yeah what ivseenwars said is true. Painting a bar and wing shouldn't cost more then $500 and if painting your car for $500 isn't a diy backyard job then its kinda dodgy.

Average price a decent panel shop should be charging you is $850-$1000 for EVERYTHING. (Strip car, prep/repair, paint, assemble, detail) Drive in drive out. Any more and you're getting ripped off.

I was talking about just the bars and the wing. And it needs to be a top quality job. Full doors closed respray i'd expect like 2.5-3k. 4K + for jams+bay.

No swirls or scratches, i use hand applicator pads, but also have a KEN auto buffer, (buying a meguiars g110v soon) , ive detailed probaly 15-25cars in the last 1 month, all with no swirls and scratches left behind,

I use only meguiars products, even though their expensive.. your left with showroom results, the way i see it, you pay for what you get...

I recently also did fellow friend/member p3akin integra type r , results where astonishing on how well the compound cut worked into the paint and the polish/wax @ the end to finsh of your hard work

the before and after on the pic shows it also . thats just the cut stage , not even polishing and look @ difference

I recently also did fellow friend/member p3akin integra type r , results where astonishing on how well the compound cut worked into the paint and the polish/wax @ the end to finsh of your hard work

the before and after on the pic shows it also . thats just the cut stage , not even polishing and look @ difference

http://i45.tinypic.com/2yzms76.jpg

I hope your clay baring that surface.. ..before you work..

You are doing a great job ! , How Ever, im finding it almost near impossible to believe that you are removing swirls and scratches by hand. Please dont be offended im just amazed, also you should use a SUNLIGHT when cutting and buffing becasue to the eye you will never see it.. Products like meguiars are almost like fillers, it gives the look that there gone but really there not. after a couple of washes your back to wear you started.

Biggest offender of this is AUTO GLYM Super Resin Polish.

Also meguiars products are not the cream of the crop.. you can buy much much better at almost tripple the cost, but like you said you get what u pay for..

If you have never used a rotary before then maby as mentioned above use a random orbital buffer less chance of burning through, i use a paint gauge when cutting and buffing, worth the money..

Please don't take this the wrong way, u are doing a great job, but i have buffed ALOT of cars, and there is alot that goes into making a show car finish.. It took me 30 hours to cutt and rotary buff my car only, not including the time i took to wash it 3 times during that process..

How ever i can tell the diffence and it looks good :)

rawrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'm with this guy. Ever since I heard about that kenny dude getting a "cut and polish" from you, and to hear you were just claying and using a glaze via hand. You may be hiding a minute number of swirls. But definitely not a cut and polish. But if the paint is actually already in good condition, and you're just decontaminating it and chucking on some nuba wax for some short term protection. Good on ya.
Hence why I also asked for direct light into lens (via panel) or shots in sunlight. But if the clients are happy, good job!

I do recommend starting with a DA/RO like AlexK said (have an orbital path, very hard to heat up the paint, therefore very good for newbies so you dont burn through the paint). Get some good pads (festool/lakecountry ect), good compounds like Merzena (personal favourite). Read some guides on the net (or attend a hands on day with one of our traders, Car Care Products) and get started!

Finish of with some good quality waxes/sealants to protect your work.

edit. If you're not claying, you should punch yourself in the balls, you are effectively ruining people's paint by dragging along dirt and marring the paint.

But if you are, good on ya. I suggest some ClayMagic :]]

Dude I got a very good buffer with meguiars soft buff pads , I use the buffer always but use hand also In hard to reach places, kenny car paint was not in good condition at all , we used the buffer on 90% of the cars with the scratchx also .. My results are 100% doing this , since I have done over 25-30 customer cars range from prestige to jap .. Clay bar most of the time is not needed due to the special design of pad I use which also removes most of the grime while cutting ,

+1, With a SUNLIGHT ! :)

+1 "A good buffer and a meguiars soft pad". Need more info than that man. What pad? Polishing pad? Cutting pad? Microfibre? Wool? Methods? How long are you spending on each panel? Before & After shots in sunlight or with a sungun would prove your results.

MYEK9

got to get them off my camera got a few before and afters, and in direct sunlight also.. i find that ken 7'' wool pad detiorates to quickly , so ive switched to the Meguiars 2.0 soft buff burgandy pad, works very well , smooth and does not affect the paint (burn), i also use the meguiars 2.0 7'' soft buff polisher pad ( yellow ) when polishing and the black colour basic pad when waxing, all up roughly around 2:30 -3hrs a car depending on condition even longer.

Autoglym trim restorer, forever black, etc. just plastic/vinyl restores do well.

Seems like you've got a good setup, although I prefer hand waxing/sealing. How often do you find yourself wet sanding?

At the moment I just hammered the bolt through. On the oem shocks, there is a nut but it seems to be welded to the shock fork - lol? I didn't get any nuts with this suspension (bought 2nd hand).
